Families Deserve Justice; Do they get it?

April 30, 2020 by Ian Tasker Leave a Comment

Scottish Hazards has worked with, and supported, some amazing families over the years, here are some stories that tell the reality of workplace deaths.

Click the image above to find out more about Michael Adamson, Ewan Williamson, Graham Meldrum,  Ronnie Alexander and John Mackay

Apart from firefighter Ewan Williamson all of these tragic cases occurred in non unionised workplaces and their families did not have a trade union behind them. Following Ewan’s tragic death, the Fire Brigades Union in Scotland supported Ewan’s throughout the lengthy justice process.

In Graham Meldrum’s case his partner, Karen Thomson , friends and family mounted a tremendous campaign to highlight Graham’s tragedy and injustice that followed.

Louise Taggart, Michael Adamson’s sister, is one of our trustees and a motivational speaker telling Michael’s Story far and wide.

Scottish Hazards continues to support John Wood’s daughters, Natalie and Dionne, 18 years after the incident that claimed their dad’s life and we will be with the families of Ronnie Alexander and John Mackay to help them get the justice they deserve.

#FamiliesDeserveJustice; let’s make sure they get it.
